fearless

around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long.
we keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...:

to say that my little tiny is fearless is an
understatement.

for instance,
today we were at my parent's house.
nora runs like crazy around there.
she know all the in's & out's.

her latest ventures are in the backyard.
my parent's backyard has a couple of retaining walls.
nora likes to throw rocks & dirt from the top.

i was sitting on the couch feeding baby kayl.
my mom had her eye on my little tiny through the window
& i would occasionally see her run by.

nora went to the top of the retaining wall
threw some dirt & rocks.
yelled something at the dogs in her language
&
got a certain look on her face.

my mom & i looked at each other....
"do you think she is going to jump?"

just as quick as the words left my mouth,
my little tiny leapt from the wall...
{its about a 3 foot jump}
we were shocked.

she was completely fine
{once i knew she was okay, i laughed so hard i cried}

in fact,
i would go so far to say that she throughly enjoyed herself.
my fearless little tiny.

& curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

queen N

this little tiny girl rules the roost:
on any given day,
this is what we do at granma's house.
nora grayce thinks she is the queen.
& maybe she is....
she knows where the yummy treats are in the pantry.
in fact, its the first place she runs to when we arrive.
& she knows just where the treats go when she has suckered
granma, or granpa, or auntie mogen, or uncle sam {& on occasion myself}
into giving her what she wants.
her treats go right to her table.
yumMA!

she always ends up at the piano & in the backyard,
occasionally in the laundry room,
up & down the stairs,
in & out of the pantry,
& most often found digging through her toys
looking for mr. & mrs. 'taetoe' head.

{pounding on the piano}

{helping granma do laundry}

{running outside... pretty sure its her favorite thing to do}

my mom started a joke with mr. & mrs. potato head,
by putting them as her profile picture on facebook.
so we came up with the brilliant idea to take photos of them doing
the things that my parents can be found doing...
my dad tending his garden
{which he prides himself in, especially the corn & the lettuce}
& my mom admiring her gerber daises.

thumbs up for another monday!
here, there, & most everywhere.

pink mallow

the snow of yester year:
what a whacky week of snow {last wednesday, thursday, & friday of course!}
waking up to snow covered driveways, sidewalks, streets, hills, & trees is my favorite.
last week was a favorite.
thanks to my mom & dad {getting all 3 mcphees outta the house} we emerged to the winter wonderland in our enchanted new mexico. my little tiny resembled something of a pink marshmallow.
she is usually
running around while talking jibberish,
but the snow {and her many layers of clothing} had a different affect on her.
she did not try to move her little legs or arms,
she simply sat {silently}
&
enjoyed each of her sledding rides.

{aunt mogen & her besty ali}

{grandpa, nora, & a little tiny snowman}

there is something magical about sledding. it makes me feel like a kid again. i can't help but laugh & smile the whole way down.
its experiences like these that i cherish
with my

mcphees & family

snow on.

a day with grandma

thank heavens for grandma & auntie mogen:
mr. mcphee & i took a quick trip to albuquerque for some business. while we were away {only for the day} miss G enertained grandma for most the day. my little tiny broke reading glasses, rolled uncontrolably around in her blanket, pooped three times {right on schedule}, ate at costa vida, took only one nap {she knew there was a party to be had if grandma & auntie were downstairs}, probably got candy {& yummy sips of dr. pepper} from auntie mogen, rode in grandma's car, cried in grandma's car,
&
ate dinner
in her
nightly
tub.

{this photo has nothing to do with this post... but i like it anyway}

& thank heaven for my little tiny.
